new material added

Posted by: Shannon   in Site News

Shannon has released previously hidden material concerning the Barriers and Strogun Clans.  They can be found in the Elmek Chronical.

Also in Elmek, Shannon edited and added information to a number of previous areas.  He finished with two rough drafts – one for time and one for money.

New Art, New Hosting?

Posted by: Shannon   in Site News

A few more preliminary sketches – Bane, the Sentinel, and the Warlock – have been added to the gallery in the Stone Pike Chronicle.

This site may soon be switching to a new web hosting company, and may be offline for a few days.  We’ll keep you updated as the situation develops.

locked down again

Posted by: Shannon   in Site News

I decided that I’ve put  too much time and money into this site to let people waltz through completely for free.  If people want to see what we’re doing in here, they can spend a few seconds to register and log in.  If they can’t bother with that much, then they can rot in the Final Darkness.  We don’t need their ilk among our ranks.

waffle house

Posted by: Shannon   in Site News

I realize I’m waffling more than a starving man in a pancake house, but I’ve decided to re-open the site to the general public for now.  I had it closed out so that only registered and logged in visitors could access the site, but I have gone back to open access.  I can close it down again in the future if I decide to.  It will only take a few mouse clicks and a slight alteration to the front page.  I will go back to restricted access eventually, but not for now.

Update 08.03.08

Posted by: Shannon   in Site News

The site was offline most of the day, due to server issues with my web host. I’ve been a faithful customer of 1and1.com for a few years, but here lately, they’ve really been dropping the ball. I would no longer recommend them to anyone.

The site seems to be running again now, and hopefully it will remain online now.

I’ve cobbled together some new wallpapers based on the map I drew and the artwork Michael Langdale has done for me . I changed out the original Alexi wallpaper for a new one that I like better. I also made more forum avatars. This will be all of the downloads until I get more art from Michael.

I’ve added the first gallery of artwork to the Stone Pike Chronicle.  It’s a gallery of ten early sketches Michael sent to me during  the design phase of the first three sketches.

I also uploaded the final Sarveki Empire map. I finally labeled everything that I wanted to label, and it’s done. If time allows later this year, I want to draw some others, but that’s so far down on the list of things to do, that I doubt it will happen.

So Many Changes!

Posted by: Shannon   in Site News

I’ve added or changed so many things it the last 48 hours that I’m afraid I’ll forget to mention something I’ve done!

  1. I’ve finally posted some treasures in the Legion’s Barrier Vault.  I’ve posted desktop wallpapers and forum avatars of Alexi.
  2. I’ve added a widget to  the left sidebar entitled “HERESY.”  It’s a like a comment wall you’d see on facebook and is an easy way for you to drop me a quick note.
  3. I removed the scryer’s pool because I have no events in the foreseeable future, and it’s code was messing up another plugin that I like better.
  4. I’ve updated the Site Map to reflect all of the changes I’ve made in the site structure.
  5. The last three changes are all tied together as part of a larger project.  I’ve decided to require user registration and login to access this site.
  • To that end, I’ve written a new page to welcome new users, who I affectionately call my Heretic Legion.
  • I’ve created an introduction page to serve as a gatekeeper for the site.
  • I’ve posted the sample chapter on my other two websites so they it can still be accessed without any restrictions.
  • I’ve updated the registration process.  The new procedure incorporates a custom logo, allows users to register different names under  the same email address, stops spammers from registering bogus accounts, and assists in the digitizing of old books.

I think that’s all for now.  Please check back in soon.  I’ll have more wallpapers, site banners, avatars, and artwork very soon!
