Big problem, small fix

Posted by: Shannon   in Book News

I made a few minor but important modifications to Heretic this weekend. I wish I could tell you what I did, but I can’t say without giving away a major plot point. I’ll just say that it was a substantial gap in the logic of my storyline, one that all of my test readers and I overlooked, but it’s been repaired without a crack or seam to hint that it ever existed. The process also allowed me to introduce an entirely new concept towards the end of the book, something that makes a supporting character much more interesting and also makes the sequel more tantalizing. I’m happy with the changes, very happy indeed.

Website is shaping up!

I’ve been offline and out of touch for days now, but I’ve accomplished much in my absence. It still needs edited, but all of the text content is now written and posted in the website! I’m starting to get excited!

There’s still no word from my artist though. I’m not sure what’s happened to him, but he hasn’t contacted me in some time now. I hope to hear from him soon.

Even though the site is still incomplete and is still in its rough draft stages, I went ahead and removed the password protection, so it’s now open to the public.

Writing all this content has also indirectly improved the novel, because I had to think about a many minor details that I hadn’t really developed yet, and as I wrote out my thoughts, I discovered a few minor plot holes and inconsistencies in Heretic, all of which are now repaired. I’ll be ready to start querying agents again soon!
